Disputes and investigations are not often considered top-line ESG issues. CRA has found that a social license to operate is often on the line when companies must engage in an investigation or business dispute. In each instance, a company’s ability to survive and thrive is based on that social license to operate and whether regulators, customers, and other key stakeholders are willing to continue to grant it.
