Tony Meggs

Senior Consultant

Tony Meggs has over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors, with expertise in the energy industry, and large infrastructure projects.

He currently serves as Chair at Sellafield Ltd., a subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), as well as serving on the Board of Defence Equipment & Support. He was previously Chair at Crossrail, a company building a new metropolitan railway for London and the South East of the United Kingdom. In 2015, Mr. Meggs was appointed Chief Executive of the Major Projects Authority in the Cabinet Office, before merging his organisation with the Treasury’s Infrastructure UK body to form the Infrastructure and Projects Authority in 2016.

Mr. Meggs worked at BP in a number of roles, including as the Head of Technology, where he initiated the group’s hydrogen business development activities. Mr. Meggs also co-chaired a Massachusetts Institute of Technology study regarding the future of natural gas.
