He has advised clients in relation to horizontal agreements, mergers, and abuse of dominance in front of the European Commission, Federal Trade Commission, Bundeskartellamt, Competition and Markets Authority, Bundeswettbewerbsbehörde, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, and Turkish Competition Authority, as well as in court proceedings in various countries.
Sebastian’s industry experience includes artificial intelligence, cloud services, social networks, telecoms, food retail, care and beauty products, trucks, beer, steel, canned vegetables, timber products, television, chemicals, carsharing, and non-wovens. He has advised on the merger control proceedings car2go/DriveNow, ALTANA/Von Roll, Super RTL/Nick, Georgia Pacific/Glatfelter, among others.
Sebastian graduated with a PhD in Economics from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he was also a teaching assistant. His research has been published in Health Economics and Journal of Empirical Legal Studies. He has also published on competition policy in Neue Zeitschrift für Kartellrecht and Wirtschaft und Wettbewerb. His working languages are English and German.
