Richard Acklam is an associate principal in CRA’s Energy Practice. He is an economist and has extensive experience advising clients on European and Asian natural gas, oil, and power markets.
He has supported large integrated energy companies, power generators, utilities, NOCs and IOCs, and transmission and distribution operators, in the context of dispute resolution and international arbitration. Richard has extensive experience drafting and submitting expert reports for proceedings in natural gas, LNG, oil products and power markets in Europe, Asia, and North America.
Outside of international arbitration, Mr. Acklam conducts economic modeling, market and regulatory analysis, and asset valuation on issues including demand forecasting, market entry, commercial due diligence, electrification, and smart grid technologies.
Prior to joining CRA, Mr. Acklam held several roles at an energy consulting firm focusing on international arbitration, economic analysis, and contract negotiations.
Mr. Acklam holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Bath.
