Migiwa Tanaka is an Associate Principal in the Antitrust & Competition Economics Practice and has extensive experience in economic and statistical analyses on merger cases and antitrust litigation matters. With her considerable knowledge and expertise in econometrics, she has been often involved in cases requiring large data analyses.
Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Tanaka was an assistant professor at the Wilfrid Laurier University, the University of Toronto, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on empirical industrial organization involving real estate markets, payment industry, and incentive effects. She has taught a variety of economics and statistics courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. She is a native Japanese speaker.
