Michelle Taylor is a vice president in the Risk, Investigations & Analytics Practice at CRA. She has over 20 years of combined public and private sector experience and leads multijurisdictional investigations with a particular focus on white collar investigations, corruption matters, risk mitigation, and crisis management.
Michelle is an experienced communications and strategy advisor, with experience in federal law enforcement and the intelligence community. She specializes in conducting complex, sensitive investigations and providing strategic advice. She has performed risk assessments and due diligence of organizational security systems, and actionable recommendations to mitigate threats.
Prior to joining CRA, Ms. Taylor was a managing director at a risk advisory firm, and was responsible for managing incident response matters, custom security programs, and providing strategic advisory services to clients. From 2005 to 2019, Michelle served as a Special Agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, working on matters ranging from public corruption to counterterrorism. Her assignments in the FBI include a detail assignment as a staff member on the Senate Homeland Security Committee and as Director for Legislative Affairs at White House National Security Council.
Michelle is an Adjunct Lecturer at Texas A&M – The Bush School, where she teaches a course on Private Sector Intelligence and Insider Risk. She is a veteran of the United States Army, whose tours of duty include a combat deployment as a military intelligence officer in the Middle East.
