Michael Herrigel specializes in the application of financial and economic expertise to a variety of matters involving damages and valuation.
With respect to the calculation of damages, Mr. Herrigel has experience with lost profits, reasonable royalty, price erosion, unjust enrichment, and prejudgment and post-judgment interest. He also has experience in intangible asset and business valuation. He has performed and managed numerous valuation engagements for transactional, litigation, tax, and financial reporting purposes.
His litigation experience includes dispute resolution services for cases involving patent infringement, trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, copyright infringement, false advertising, breach of contract, and tortious interference, among other claims. He has supported expert witnesses and clients in all stages of the investigation and litigation process. His experience has included cases filed in US district courts and state courts, as well arbitrations filed with the American Arbitration Association, JAMS, and UNCITRAL.
Mr. Herrigel has worked across multiple industries, including consumer products, apparel, food and beverage, securities, telecommunications, payment processing systems, mobile applications, real estate, and pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Herrigel graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
