Liam Connolly

Associate Principal

Liam Connolly is an associate principal in CRA’s European Competition Practice, specialising in the competitive assessment of cases involving multi-sided platforms, technology, and innovative sectors including Artificial Intelligence, gaming, agriculture, and healthcare.

Liam has advised multiple clients in front of the European Commission, UK CMA, Australian ACCC, Brazilian CADE, Korean FTC, Chinese SAMR and other agencies worldwide. His work in mergers involves a number of high-profile cases ranging from artificial intelligence (Microsoft/Inflection, Microsoft/Nuance), gaming (Microsoft/Activision), technological agriculture (AGCO/Trimble), healthcare (CVC/Viatris, Novo Nordisk/Catalent, United Health/EMIS) and other industries. His antitrust work includes complainants in the Google Android case.

Prior to joining CRA, Liam completed a MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and a MA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, where he produced his final dissertation in collaboration with the CMA.
