Jarrod Welch

Principal

Dr. Jarrod Welch is a principal in the Competition Practice of CRA.

Dr. Welch applies his expertise in economic and policy matters, including competition and antitrust analysis, consumer protection, class certification, and damages analysis, in both regulatory and litigation disputes.

He has supported expert testimony for over 10 years, managing teams analyzing economic and statistical issues, drafting expert reports, and assisting counsel at all stages of litigation, from discovery through deposition and trial. He has worked on litigation matters and mergers in a variety of industries, including retail, consumer packaged goods, digital platforms, health care and pharmaceuticals, food and agriculture, pollution and environmental damages, transportation, manufacturing, and telecommunications.

Prior to his role at CRA, Dr. Welch was a post-doctoral research fellow and applied econometrician at the National Bureau of Economic Research. He has written for academic publications such as the Review of Economics and Statistics and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America.
