Dr. Frank Mathewson is an Emeritus Professor of Economics and former Director of the Institute for Policy Analysis at the University of Toronto and a widely recognized authority on industrial organization.
Recently, Dr. Mathewson was named one of Canada’s top expert witnesses by leading corporate litigators in Canada in a survey conducted byLexpert magazine. He has testified as an economic expert in cases involving mergers, antitrust/competition, and market or regulatory behaviour before a variety of courts and regulatory bodies, including the Copyright Board of Canada, the Competition Tribunal of Canada, Manitoba Public Utilities Commission, and Canadian criminal courts and arbitration panels. He has published extensively in economic and business journals on topics concerning utilities, banking, insurance, the media, and other industries.
