Felix Rhiel
Felix Rhiel is an associate principal in the Antitrust & Competition Practice in the Munich office of Charles River Associates. He has more than five years of experience in advising clients on issues of competition economics. He was able to gain experience with merger control proceedings in front of the European Commission and various national competition authorities. His project experience also includes work on cartel damage and market abuse proceedings. As part of his work as a competition economist, he has had the opportunity to work with clients from various industries, in particular with clients from the automotive, chip, sugar and retail industries. His working languages are German and English.
Mr. Rhiel holds a Bachelor of Science in European Economic Studies from the University of Bamberg and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Bonn. During his studies he also took courses at WeSchool in Mumbai, ENSAE in Paris and University of St. Gallen. As a research assistant at the Chair of Finance and Economics at the University of Frankfurt, he also gained experience in academic research. In particular, he studied the consideration of sustainability preferences in competition policy and was involved in the preparation of corresponding reports for European competition authorities. He also published articles on the subject of sustainability and competition in the Journal of Competition Law and on D’Kart.
