Elena Bisagni

Elena Bisagni is a principal in the Antitrust & Competition Practice of CRA, based in the Washington, DC office. Dr. Bisagni has 20 years of experience in building and challenging econometric models, and in team management. She has also worked with the US antitrust agencies on merger investigations, and with the US International Trade Commission (USITC) on import injury investigations. She has extensive experience in interacting with various stakeholders, including nontechnical audiences.

Prior to joining CRA, Elena Bisagni was a director within Fannie Mae’s Model Risk Management Department, where she was responsible for reviewing and validating a portfolio of over 70 models used in various areas of the mortgage finance business, including residential property valuation, macroeconomic forecasting of home price, and borrower behavior.

She was previously a principal with an economic consulting firm where she supported testifying experts in litigation, mergers, and regulatory matters. She led large teams responsible for developing affirmative and rebuttal econometric analyses, and supporting experts in preparation of expert reports, deposition and trial exhibits, and materials for settlement discussions and mediation.

In addition, Dr. Bisagni taught undergraduate and graduate economic courses at University of California, San Diego and at Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany.
