Elaine (Lainey) Smith is an associate principal in the Forensic Services Practice.
Prior to joining CRA, Elaine worked in the Global Investigations and Strategic Intelligence and Technical Advisory practices of a consulting firm where she used Microsoft SQL Server and Excel to gather, map, and interpret big data while developing analyses for Fortune 500 corporations, financial institutions, major law firms, and regulatory bodies.
Her main focus is on data analytics and compliance review related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). She has also prepared affidavits and declarations and provided testimony pertaining to analytics in TCPA cases.
