CRA is pleased to announced that Professor Christopher J. Palmer has affiliated with the Company’s Finance Practice as a Senior Consultant.
“We are excited to welcome Christopher as a Senior Consultant to our Finance Practice,” said CRA President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Maleh. “In addition to his extensive academic research in the areas of consumer finance, real estate finance, and banking, he has served as an expert before the Delaware Court of Chancery.”

“Christopher has a skill set that is highly valued by our clients,” said Dr. Mukarram Attari, Vice President & Finance Practice Co-Leader. “His expertise is applicable to many different types of matters, including mergers, securities, and complex commercial disputes.”
Dr. Palmer is an Associate Professor of Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management where he teaches corporate finance. His research focuses on how credit, real estate, and labor markets respond to periods of significant upheaval. He is a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, an Affiliate with the Jameel Poverty Action Lab, and a Visiting Scholar at Harvard Business School.
Dr. Palmer previously taught real estate finance at the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and he was a Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Banks of Boston, New York, and San Francisco. Prior to graduate school, he consulted with a global economic consulting firm. Dr. Palmer holds a BA in economics and mathematics from Brigham Young University and a PhD in economics from MIT.
