CRA is hosting a financial crime briefing with industry expert, Tom Keatinge, Director, Financial Crime and Security at The Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI), the international defence and security think tank.
Tom Keatinge will discuss Biden’s previously stated commitment to tackle illicit finance and contrast it with Boris Johnson’s track record. Biden’s call to arms to combat corruption ‘as a core national security interest and democratic responsibility’ and ‘lead efforts internationally to bring transparency to the global financial system’, is a call for a global response. Tom will discuss what this means for the US-UK special relationship and the financial crime compliance community.
The briefing will include a moderated Q&A that will be held under Chatham House rules.
Nick Panes and Heidi Whitfield are moderating the session.
