Sensitive files were accessed and exfiltrated by an unauthorized user

CRA was engaged to investigate a virus outbreak that impacted all operations of a multi-regional hospital with over 5,000 end points. Our team contained the outbreak and determined the root cause of the infiltration. After reverse engineering the malware, we concluded that many sensitive files were accessed and exfiltrated by an unauthorized user. We then quantified the number of impacted individuals, assisted with OCR responses, and assisted the client with remediation activities.
