CRA’s labor economists advised counsel to an accredited, private, not-for-profit institution of higher education regarding an institution-wide pay equity audit with respect to race/ethnicity and gender. CRA’s team met with pay-setters and decision-makers, collected data, and analyzed compensation for tenured and tenure-track faculty, part-time faculty, and exempt and non-exempt staff. Upon completing the pay analysis, CRA’s economists created materials to aid decision-makers in cohort and individual review, advised the client regarding changes to their pay practices that might reduce the risk of finding future group pay disparities, and created presentations and reports to aid in communicating the results of the pay study to shareholders within the organization.
