On October 27, 2022, the Commercial Court of Lyon rejected the claim made against Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks by transport infrastructure group Colas in the context of follow-on damages litigation related to the European Commission’s 2016 decision condemning six European truck manufacturers for collusive and anticompetitive practices. The Court found that the claimants had failed to prove their damages, thanks notably to the convincing economic evidence presented by Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks as well as other defendants.
A CRA team assisted Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks and their counsel Freshfields Bruckhaus Derringer throughout the proceedings.
