The European Commission has unconditionally cleared the acquisition by telecom-equipment provider Commscope Inc. of the Broadband Network Solutions business unit of TE Connectivity Ltd. The Commission’s conclusion that the transaction would not lead to any anticompetitive effects was based on a number of economic factors, including potential competition and the role of tender and distributors in the procurement process.
A CRA team provided economic advice to Commscope during the EU pre-notification phase and Phase I proceedings.
