CRA’s Risk, Investigations & Analytics team assisted Counsel in an employee raiding matter involving allegations of employee poaching and misappropriation of trade secrets.
The case centered on claims that a competitor solicited employees and leveraged confidential information for competitive advantage, including orchestrating a premeditated raid of its client’s sales teams. Using advanced social media monitoring, we were able to capture posts made by employees about joining the other firm, in some instances before they had formally resigned. We also retained social posts by competitor employees about its recruitment tactics, which Counsel used in legal filings, that ultimately led to the successful settlement of the matter.
