CRA worked with a major North American infrastructure fund to conduct a baseline diagnostic and peer benchmark of their ESG strategy, processes, and asset management capabilities at the portfolio level. We provided recommendations on how to leverage the fund’s inherent ESG focus to highlight key strategic strengths, develop sector specific targets, build better communication linkages with asset teams, streamline reporting processes, and set in place an ESG framework to create tangible value across the portfolio.
We also conducted a more detailed evaluation of a managed asset that included mapping of stakeholders, a materiality assessment to identify the most material issues for the business and stakeholders, and prioritizing issues to be addressed in business planning.
