CRA was engaged by a medical services firm, that had suffered a data breach that exposed personally identifiable information (PII) and other medical records. CRA professionals performed an impact analysis on the information deemed at-risk; and reviewed affected systems, ultimately culling the data down to approximately 500,000 relevant items. The team then triaged the data by type and developed automated processes to extract sensitive information. In cooperation with counsel, CRA professionals developed logic to deduplicate the data by person. CRA professionals provided reports and ad hoc analysis on the breached data, allowing the client to meet the legal reporting requirements in a variety of different jurisdictions. Due to the high level of automation throughout the project, we delivered highly accurate results in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
