CRA was retained by counsel for Respondent Columbia Pipeline Group, Inc. in an appraisal action in Delaware Chancery Court arising from its acquisition by TransCanada Corporation. Petitioners claimed that the fair value of Columbia’s shares exceeded the deal price. CRA Senior Consultant and University of Chicago Booth School of Business Professor Mark Zmijewski testified at trial on the fair value of Columbia’s shares and the deal process. CRA Vice President Seabron Adamson testified at trial as an expert on the natural gas pipeline industry. The Court ruled in favor of Respondent, finding that the fair value of Columbia’s shares was equal to the deal price.
