Traditional econometric load forecasting methodologies do not adequately capture the recent rise in data center growth.
CRA collaborated with industry stakeholders to establish best practices in data center load forecasting that base reference forecasts on known mature projects that have made material commitments to locate in a particular service territory. Additionally, high growth forecasts that capture more speculative projects are necessary to provide contingency plans to address potential accelerated growth.
