Auctions & Competitive Bidding Practice

For over 25 years, CRA’s Auctions & Competitive Bidding Practice has been designing, implementing, and managing online auctions and other trading platforms for businesses, industries, and government clients around the world. Our work is a partnership with our clients because we need to understand their business, objectives, customers, suppliers, stakeholders, opportunities, and challenges. We apply economics, market analysis, auction theory, game theory, and mechanism design to provide optimal, customized solutions to best meet our clients’ needs.

In addition to our trading platforms, we are retained by participants in other auctions to provide bidding strategies, advice on pre-auction preparation, and live bidding support during auctions. Many of our current engagements are long-term partnerships with our clients, and much of our new business comes in by virtue of our reputation and word of mouth.

We are seeking final-year undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral degree students who are studying in the following areas:

• Economics, Business, Engineering, Math, or Software Development

Research staff are expected to help manage our auctions and other trading events, qualify participants in our trading events, manage our trading platform websites, interact with clients, and compile marketing materials. Software engineering staff are expected to be active in software development, dev-ops, QA, support for our trading events, and related activities.
