CRA’s Chris Bakewell served as an economic damages and licensing expert in a Marshall, Texas telecommunications jury trial.
Mr. Bakewell demonstrated, among other things, that the accused feature had low value based on an analysis of customer usage metrics) and plaintiff’s claim of over $1 billion in royalties was excessive and economically unjustified based on the facts in the case.
On March 7, 2025 the jury found that the telecommunications company did not infringe any claims of the three patents at issue. Mr. Bakewell worked with a CRA team of experts that included Rachael Malito and Kimiko Varner.
