Our philosophy

People development is at the core of who we are at CRA, and we take pride in our robust learning culture. Our development framework focuses on providing multi-dimensional technical, foundational, and consulting skills to all staff. We offer training at every career stage, enabling our employees to actively participate in their professional advancement. We take care to adapt trainings to address current development priorities and ever-changing client needs.

Core training programs

We offer our consulting staff formal training at every stage in their professional development, from essential consulting skills to project and client relationship management. Our Core trainings provide opportunities to network with and learn from colleagues across the firm and, in many cases, receive one-on-one professional coaching from an external advisor.

  • Our New Principals Program is designed for those in leadership positions at CRA, its purpose is to provide a foundation for growth and help leaders develop relationships with peers and senior colleagues.

  • Our “What it takes to be successful at CRA” panel, a staple session during RAC training, features consultants across all levels advise new hires on making the most of their CRA experience.

Additional training opportunities

  • New hires at CRA attend Research and Analysis Core (RAC) training, which teaches juniors the firm’s analytical tools and standards through live practice of key Excel formulas and hands-on experience presenting an analysis to a project manager.

  • One of our most popular RAC sessions, “Meet the CEO,” features Paul Maleh hosting an interactive Q&A with our newest junior class.
