DEI-CRA company culture

History & Culture

CRA was founded in 1965 by Jerry Kraft, John Kaler, and Alan Willens. The team initially worked out of a two-bedroom hotel suite in Cambridge, Massachusetts, adding rooms across the hall and on other floors as the firm grew. Their work was defined by a shared vision of providing objective, grounded expertise—evidence-based, client-focused, and fully defensible. That approach enabled CRA to grow into a trusted advisor to leaders in organizations across the world.

Today, CRA includes a diverse team of 800+ consultants from 50+ countries. Our founders’ vision guides our work with every client. Our goal is to help our clients achieve their objectives: from high-stakes litigation and regulatory compliance to long-term business strategy. What sets us apart from other firms is our ability to apply theoretical concepts and superior analytics to create meaningful and comprehensive solutions.

From the very beginning, CRA has had a culture of curiosity and collaboration and has been a place where new ideas and perspectives are not only welcomed but encouraged.

Today, this approach continues to guide us.

In addition to providing our clients with unrivaled expertise, we are also committed to cultivating a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment, where everyone is encouraged to be themselves. At CRA, innovation and inclusiveness go hand in hand.
