Richard S. Ruback is a Baker Foundation Professor and the Willard Prescott Smith Professor of Corporate Finance, Emeritus at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

He is a noted authority on corporate finance and valuation, particularly as applied to mergers and takeovers.

Professor Ruback also has special expertise in setting appropriate discount rates for valuing risky projects, capital budgeting, valuation, and other aspects of corporate control. He publishes widely on corporate finance, taxation, and valuation, and appears regularly at national symposia.
