David Reitman specializes in antitrust economics and the economics of copyright.
He has extensive experience in merger review and in unilateral conduct cases, and he has worked as a testifying expert, in litigation support, on matters before the DOJ and the FTC, and in premerger review. He has testified in monopolization cases, particularly those involving restrictions on distribution, and in merger challenges. Among the industries in which he has experience are consumer products, airlines, telecommunications, computer software and hardware, and health care products and services. Dr. Reitman also has extensive experience working on and testifying in music copyright proceedings in the US and in Canada.
Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Reitman was an economist in the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice (DOJ) where he worked on a wide range of monopolization and merger cases. He has also been on the faculty at Ohio State University and UCLA. Dr. Reitman has published papers on a variety of issues in antitrust and competition economics in leading journals such as the American Economics Review, the Journal of Law and Economics, and the Antitrust Law Journal.
