Experience
Dr. Elizabeth Xiao-Ru Wang is a principal in the Competition Practice at Charles River Associates. She specializes in industrial organization, applied economics, and econometrics. Dr. Wang has extensive experience in providing economic analyses for antitrust matters including merger reviews, government investigations, and private litigation. She has been involved in casework in a variety of industries, including health care, high tech, financial markets, pharmaceuticals, airlines, and consumer products. Dr. Wang has submitted reports to federal and state government agencies and has published and spoken on various topics.

Dr. Wang has extensive experience working with Chinese regulators. Together with the American Bar Association, she provided comments on China’s Anti-Monopoly Law and China’s Copyright Law. In addition, Dr. Wang has presented economic analysis in front of the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) and advised clients on merger reviews and antitrust litigation in China.

Dr. Wang has worked for clients in Asia, North America, and Europe. She is highly knowledgeable about cultural and legal system differences across countries and works with clients to navigate challenges associated with litigations or investigations.

Dr. Wang has a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago in the United States and a BA in economics from Peking University in China. She is a native Chinese speaker and is fluent in English.
